Intercambio con Lytchett Minster. La voz de los alumnos: María Martínez González.

Intercambio con Lytchett Minster School, UK.

My expectations for the exchange

Erasmus youth,
Europe's future.

'Hello! I am María Martínez and I am anxiously waiting for your visit, here in my school in a couple of days. In my case, I won’t be putting anybody up, but it doesn't matter. I think it can be an amazing experience anyway.

The reason why I want to parcipate in the exchange is because I believe that this opportunity can help us to learn a lot of English in a few days. Staying with people our age can help us to increase our vocabulary with other type of words. Maybe these words are going to be more informal that the ones I can learn in any academy or in the English class. And of course, being with them the whole day will make us speak the language better and understand it much better, too.

In April, my schoolmates and I are going to travel to Lytchett Minster School. I expect to improve in many aspects of my life, and as this is
the first time I will be traveling alone abroad, I will learn to be more independent because I am going to stay a week without the protection of my parents, so I will have to learn to stay with strangers.

This experience could help me in my future if someday I decide to go abroad alone. This experience will help me to get to learn about other traditions, different ways of teaching, and living the life of a teenager in UK, whcih, on the other hand, I suposse will be really different due to the changeable weather or simply the different landscapes. And of course, the most important reason is to master my English.

Talking about your arrival in my school, I am so excited, we are going to try to make your visit as pleasant as possible. We are going to help you with the Spanish languagee and I suppose you will help us with our English'.
